Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 3 tablespoons baking powder
- ¼ cup Crisco oil
- 2 cups warm water, add 1 egg
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°.
2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder and oil, water, egg, measuring spoon.
3. Mix 4 cups flour and 3 tablespoons baking powder, then add ¼ cup Crisco oil, mix together and then add warm water to make a mix.
4. Add the water mixed with the dry ingredients and mix with a fork until it turns into a dough.
5. Gently knead the dough and place into the container so it does not stick to the container. Knead until it’s no longer sticky. Keep adding flour until it’s not sticky.
6. Poke holes in the bannock using a fork, put on the pan, and put in oven for about 40 minutes.
