The partnership between the Community Health Centre and the Community Food Centre brings together programs that reach new individuals in a welcoming, non-clinical environment that fosters trust and connection. Through this collaboration, we offer weekly access to a nurse during community lunches, host vaccine and STI clinics throughout the year, and provide harm reduction supplies at our Advocacy Office. The Bright Start program engages families with young children through a mud kitchen in our garden, and NorWest Co-op’s Elder now leads a Sharing Circle at the Community Food Centre alongside our Indigenous social worker.
