Afro-Carib Immigration Settlement is a grassroots, community-based organization dedicated to supporting Black immigrants, refugees, and international students from Africa and the Caribbean living in the Jane-Finch, Jane-Wilson, Oakdale Village, and other Ontario communities. Our mission is to provide education, counselling, and culturally relevant support services that empower individuals and families to successfully integrate, thrive, and contribute meaningfully to Canadian society. We focus on settlement support, food access, youth mentorship, seniors’ wellness, and community engagement. Through workshops, skills development programs, and culturally appropriate food distribution, we strive to remove barriers faced by newcomers while promoting belonging, stability, and resilience. Our organization values respect, inclusion, empowerment, and collaboration, recognizing the strength and potential within our communities. By fostering partnerships with local agencies, faith groups, and social organizations, we work to create equitable opportunities that address the social, emotional, and economic needs of African-Caribbean populations. Together, we aim to build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community, one where every newcomer can thrive and feel at home.
