The MISSION of the Annapolis Valley Community Food Council is to support a healthy, just, and sustainable food system by: 1. Strengthening relationships across the many good organizations in the Annapolis Valley doing food related work. 2. Fostering support for the creation of effective food policies, programs, and initiatives. 3. Building awareness, capacity, and engagement for community-led action and advocacy to improve food security. Lead by a Board of Directors, our Council’s activities are carried out by various Working Groups that each approach solutions for food security from a different angle, such as school food, income advocacy, mobilizing local food, linking our food pantries together, etc.
