Bridge Builders is a grassroots charity based in Greenfields, Mandurah, supporting families and individuals across the Peel region who are experiencing food insecurity and hardship. Established in 2006, we work alongside the 1church community to deliver practical, dignity-focused support that meets people where they are at. Our core programs include the Community Food Pantry, Backpack Buddies (weekend food packs for school children), Nanna’s Kitchen, Gift of Christmas, The Haven, and Birthday in a Box. Together, these services provide reliable access to food and essential items, while also creating moments of care, connection, and hope for children and families doing it tough. Guided by strong Christian values, we believe food is a basic human right and that everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported. Alongside emergency relief, we are actively developing a Community Food Hub to expand our impact through education, workshops, community cooking, and a community garden — building skills, resilience, and belonging over time. We’re proud of our local partnerships, volunteer-led model, and our commitment to strengthening the community so no one is left behind.
