Bridge to Oasis Foundation (BTO) is a Calgary-based charity dedicated to supporting the well-being of Seniors of African and Caribbean descent in Canada. Our mission is to help these seniors live the lives they grew up to love—without the intimidation of adapting to a new world. We provide programs that promote healthy living, engaging living, and nostalgic living through culturally relevant food programs, social connection, and educational initiatives. BTO offers nutrition, fitness, and wellness workshops led by professionals, and partners with community groups to deliver food hampers and groceries to elderly individuals of color across Alberta. Our work extends beyond meeting physical needs; we foster belonging, empowerment, and connection to cultural heritage. By creating a nurturing and inclusive community for seniors, we aim to reduce isolation, improve food security, and celebrate the rich cultural contributions of African and Caribbean communities in Canada. Through collaboration, advocacy, and compassion, Bridge to Oasis Foundation continues to make a meaningful impact—one meal, one story, and one connection at a time.
