The Caldwell Family Centre is a trusted community hub and essential service provider serving one of the largest and most diverse catchment areas in Ottawa. As a neighbourhood anchor, we offer low-barrier, dignity-focused support that meets people where they’re at and helps them move toward greater stability and well-being. Our core programs include a high-demand food bank, community meal program, wrap-around support services, a welcoming drop-in centre, a computer café for digital access, a thrift store, and a weekly marketplace that increases choice and access to fresh, culturally relevant foods. We are also a major food rescue leader in Ottawa, recovering over 35,000 lbs of food every month that would otherwise go to waste. Each month, more than 3,500 people rely on our food bank; we provide over 6,400 meals to community members in need, and more than 3,800 meals to school nutrition programs, after-school programs, and youth initiatives across the city. Above all, we are a warm, inclusive, community-driven space where neighbours support neighbours. Our work is grounded in dignity, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves access to healthy food and a strong community they can count on.
