Our main function as a Prenatal Nutrition Program is to ensure healthy birth weights among newborns through food processing workshops, grocery vouchers, healthy eating encouragement strategies, freezer meals prepared and distributed, monthly luncheons, wild meat donations, vitamins and a strong focus on connecting families with each other in hopes of developing links of supports among our community members, particularly important when most of our families have no extended family in the territory. We also lend out equipment you would need prenatally to 2 years of age, including breast pumps, infant clothes, diapers, toys, books and more. We provide 2 hours of home respite support for the first year of infancy as well as child development classes, diy workshops, indigenous knowledge sharing and life skills workshops, field trips, harvesting and processing of wild foods…
