FoodBridge Alliance is a Saskatoon-based registered charity that bridges the gap between food insecurity and food waste through community-driven, school-based pantries. Our mission is to ensure every child and family has consistent access to nutritious food while preventing edible food from ending up in landfills. By rescuing surplus food from partners such as Second Harvest, Star Egg Company, and local grocers, we redirect high-quality ingredients to families who need them most. Our school pantry model removes barriers like transportation and stigma, making food access simple, safe, and dignified. We currently operate in two Saskatoon schools, serving about 40 families each week, and aim to expand as resources grow. Beyond addressing hunger, our work strengthens community connection, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and helps children thrive in school by improving nutrition and stability at home. FoodBridge Alliance embodies collaboration, compassion, and sustainability, building a future where no edible food is wasted and no child goes hungry.
