Gather’s mission is to provide innovative programs that build food security in welcoming and dignified ways. Our vision is of a hunger-free community. For over 200 years, Gather has been serving Seacoast residents facing hunger. The agency was founded in 1816 by a small group of women committed to feeding the families of fishermen. Today, Gather is committed to ending local hunger through collaboration and leadership. Gather serves those in our community experiencing hunger by providing nutritious food through our pantry market and our innovative distribution programs, including our mobile pantry markets, our Meals 4 Kids program that supplies food to kids when school is not in session, our cooking programs that use food that would otherwise go to waste to make delicious meals and soups, our gleaning program that works with local farmers to glean produce for our markets, etc.
