Georgina Food Pantry

The Georgina Food Pantry provides dignified access to good food that nourishes the community and inspires change. To that end: We encourage clients to choose the groceries they need using the shopping model – at least 30% of the food is fresh (produce, meat, dairy). We offer personalized “special diet” hampers to clients with food allergies and sensitivities. We offer our clients with children and youth additional milk, eggs, cereal, peanut butter, fruit, and meat through our Breakfast Club. We work with York Region’s Outreach Team to get nutritionally balanced foods that don’t require kitchen facilities to our unhoused community members. We introduced and oversee the Keswick Community Fridge, allowing donors and clients to add to or help themselves to the supplies 24/7. We facilitate food prep workshops in our community kitchen. We are a partner in the Good Food Collective through which we host community meals every Wednesday. And we have built and manage a community garden on our property.
