Greener Village supports the Greater Fredericton Area by providing food, clothing and developmental opportunities people require on their journey to self sufficiency. We started as The Fredericton Food Bank in 1983 and changed our name in 2012 to reflect the broadened scope of our programs, services, and impact on the community. Since relocating to our current location in 2012, we have witnessed a 70% increase in demand for our services. We support over 2,200 families each month. An even wider number of people access our various community supports through the year. We play an integral role in food access throughout New Brunswick. We are an active leader in the FeedNB network, which consists of 70 Atlantic Canadian non-profit partners.
